36 Days of Type – Engaging Creatives Case Study

Problem / Brief

The 36 Days of Type project is a global challenge in typography, inviting designers and visual artists to reinterpret the 26 letters of the Latin alphabet and 10 numbers over 36 days. As Cactus Istanbul, our goal in joining this creative marathon was not only to showcase our skills but also to offer an innovative perspective that changes the perception of typography. We aimed to produce work that stands out both visually and on social media.

Solution

Over 36 days, we developed motion-focused designs for each letter and number, transforming typography into a storytelling tool. Our approach combined minimalism with dynamism, treating each character as its own narrative. The visual language and motion design used created not only an aesthetic experience but also shareable, memorable digital content.

Result

The project significantly increased our social media engagement, strengthening our connection with our existing audience while opening doors for new collaborations. It provided an opportunity to showcase our motion design expertise on an international level. By turning simple typographic elements into compelling digital experiences, we once again demonstrated Cactus Istanbul’s creative and strategic strength on the global stage.
